Basic Life Support and Safe use of Electronic Automated DefibrillatorHalf day course for those needing basic First Aid training.
Why is this training important?
This basic life support (BLS) training course aims to teach a basic knowledge of first aid – covering CPR, recovery position, bleeding, choking, defibrillation and shock. It includes the use of the Automatic Electronic Defibrillator (AED).
The course takes place over 3 hours and will teach the theoretical knowledge followed by the relevant practical “hands on” assessments to improve knowledge and skill.
Who needs this training?
The course can be tailored to suit any audience and is suitable for both complete novices and those looking to refresher their basic first aid skills. The course is also relevant for first aiders in the workplace who have access to a defibrillator recommended by The Resuscitation Council (UK) 2015.

How long is the course?
This is a half day course, AM start time will be 9.30 and finishing at 12.30 or PM training will start at 1.30 and end at 4.30. We will send details prior to the start of the course
Are there any entry requirements?
No, but you should be able to kneel on the floor and stand back up unaided.
How is the course assessed?
There is no formal assessment. the tutor will give feedback on the practical elements during the session.
When will I know if I have passed?
On the day, LimeSkills certificates printed and are sent, first class, signed for, Royal Mail delivery, within 10 days
Do I need to bring anything?
Comfortable clothes should be worn. We supply tea, coffee and biscuits
What is the cost?
The cost is £50 (plus VAT) per person. Group discounts are available for 6 or more people.
