Half day course for those needing more information on how to help those with Dementia


Why is this training important?

This ½ day workshop aims to develop the knowledge and skills required when providing positive care for people with dementia and their families. It gives an awareness of the causes and symptoms of dementia and is aligned to the National Dementia Strategy.

Who needs this training?

All employees who support Individuals with dementia within a health or social care setting. Informal carers who support a person with dementia in their own home. New carers within social care settings

  • Person centred approaches
  • Ways of working to ensure diverse needs are met
How long is the course?

Half day course. AM starting at 9.30 until 12.30 and PM starting at 1.30 and ending at 4.30

Are there any entry requirements?

No, just a willingness to learn.

How is the course assessed?

There is no formal assessment on this course.

Do I need to bring anything?

We supply tea, coffee and biscuits, there is an on-site cafe where you can but very tasty home-made cakes and snacks.

What is the cost?

The cost is £50 (plus VAT) per person. Group discounts are available for 6 or more people and we will happily deliver this course wherever it is needed.
