Half day course for those needing more information on how to help those with Dementia


Why is this training important?

The Dementia Workshop aims to develop the knowledge and skills required when providing positive care for people with dementia. We look at the impact caring for a person, with the condition, may have on family and friends. The workshop also gives an awareness of the causes and symptoms of dementia and is aligned to the National Dementia Strategy.

Who needs this training?

Family and informal carers who support a person with dementia in their own home. All new and current employees who support Individuals with dementia within a health or social care setting and anyone who has an interest in being aware of dementia.

How long is the course?
Half day course. AM starting at 9.30 until 12.30 and PM starting at 1.30 and ending at 4.30
Are there any entry requirements?
No, just a willingness to learn.
How is the course assessed?
There is no formal assessment on this course but all who attend will be presented with an attendance certificate for CPD use.
Do I need to bring anything?

We supply tea, coffee and biscuits, there is an on-site cafe where you can but very tasty home-made cakes and snacks.

What is the cost?

The cost is £50 per person. Group discounts are available for 6 or more people and we will happily deliver this course wherever it is needed.
