Funded Care Training

Helping you make you training budget work harder

Funded Care Training

LimeSkills works hard to ensure we keep up to date on courses and qualifications that can be funded through the Suffolk Brokerage by the Workforce Development Fund (WDF).

Qualifying courses have the cost of the training refunded on production of the certificate. Course we currently run that attract WDF funding;

Personal Budget Holders can also claim the cost of training highlighted by an Assessor for continuing Healthcare funding. Work we have previously provided, that has been accepted as qualifying, is;

  • Moving and Handling
  • Safeguarding
  • Medication Awareness
  • Health and Safety including Fire Evacuation

These are not accredited courses but we provide attendance certificates and session plans if requireed. Guidance on this funding stream can be found here.

 Six carers and three family members attended a Moving & Handling course in the home of the disabled gentleman we look after.  All felt the experience was a positive one.  It was so helpful to be in situ with our specific equipment and the course was tailored to our needs.  Nicola was very helpful in resolving a tricky Moving & Handling issue for us.  She was friendly, professional and provided written information.  I have since been on the Medication Training and Safeguarding courses and found those very good too.
