Who are LimeSkills?

LimeSkills CIC is an accredited training provider for the Health and Social Care Sector, founded in 2011 to offer organisations a single provider who can meet all their training needs for recruitment, compliance and professional development with the understanding that the sector faces tough financial pressures, recruitment and skills shortages.  The purpose of the business is to promote increasing quality across the sector, giving those requiring care services a greater choice to receive the care they need where and when they chose.  Until the time for a care service arrives, LimeSkills supports family carers to have access to information and training which enables them to continue caring  from our Community Interest Company legal structure, demonstrating that we have a passion for people and the sector, not creating profits for shareholders.

What to expect from LimeSkills?

Our staff are experienced and qualified in providing adult education.  We recognise the need for clear communication with you to ensure you can select the most suitable service, book and receive all the information you need to get your learning off to a relaxed and organised start.   Everyone is unique, therefore we all learn differently and tutors adapt to meet delegates needs, so tutors may send out pre-course questionnaires, or hold a course induction session depending on the course to find out how to help you succeed in your learning.

We offer both open courses, where you can book one or more places, and whole courses for staff teams.  It’s about what suits you and your organisation best.  We have our own comfortable training venues, with ample free parking and refreshments awaiting your arrival, or we will be pleased to travel to your site and use a suitable room at your premises.   All of our courses have practical elements as we believe in learning by experience, therefore we use a large range of care equipment which we have on site or can bring to you.

Transparent pricing is important to us, so we display course prices with all our information, and offer payment methods online, by phone or by bank transfer.  We do offer special terms and payment plans to organisations who book their annual requirements with us in advance.

LimeSkills CIC is an approved centre for accredited courses certificated by the Highfield and NOCN awarding bodies.  These providers are regulated by Ofqual and therefore our policies and practices reflect these requirements.  For example, all delegates on accredited courses are required to show tutors proof of identity by having a passport, driving licence or a bank card.

Our non qualification courses are delivered with the same high quality and all are certificated, giving reference to the Care Certificate standards or relevant QCF unit outcomes.  The tutors are all experienced as well as qualified in their specialist areas and deliver engaging, active sessions, creating a friendly, open and approachable atmosphere to enable enjoyable learning that will impact future care practice.
