PLANTS is a new community based learning project looking to increase your employability and confidence. Concentrating on the Hospitality and Care sectors we help you develop skills such as teamwork, communication and planning. We can also help with CV writing and interview techniques.
Each Thursday we work together to provide a Lunch Club for the local community using fresh produce from the ActivLives garden.
Over an 8 week period you will also be offered the chance to gain employer recognised qualifications, such as;
– NOCN L1 Award in Skills for Employment, Training and Personal Development
– HABC L2 Award in Food Safety in Catering
– HABC L1 Award in Health and Safety
– HABC L2 First Aid
Tuesdays are workshop and planning days. Wednesday mornings are for information and support in such areas as caring for a family member, physical and mental health and wellbeing, accessing advice and support.
The Lunch Club will be held on Thursdays.
