This accredited qualification is ideal for those already working or preparing to work wishing to become a First Aider in the workplace for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

Whether it’s a minor situation or something more serious, first aid knowledge could give you the confidence to act. You could make the difference between life and death!

 

Learning Outcomes: 

  • Initial Care- Regulations, Initial Assessment, Unconsciousness, Breathing and Recovery Position

  • Injury Management- Breaks & Fractures, Wounds, Burns, Head Injuries, Chest Injuries

  • Illness Assessment- Respiratory System & Hypoxia, Diabetes, Anaphylactic shock, Heart Attack, Angina, Stroke, Asthma & Respiratory problems and Hyperventilating

  • Cardiac Problems- The Heart, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Heart Attacks and CPR

  • Primary Care First Aid Problems, Adult Chocking, Conscious & Unconscious, Serious Bleeding Management & Wounds, Shock, Spinal Injury Management.

 

Course Delivery: 

This three day course is delivered by presentation, demonstration and practical activities. Delegates will receive a course handbook to support their learning.
