Why is this training important?  

Food Safety training helps develop the knowledge and confidence to enable staff to produce and serve safe food and drink. It is a legal requirement that all catering staff receive training in line with their responsibilities and job role.


Who needs this qualifications?

Anyone working in a catering setting where food and drinks are prepared, cooked or handle.


Learning outcomes

  • Personal hygiene requirements

  • Food poisoning, effects and controls

  • Safe preparation, cooking and storing of foods

  • Cleaning and affective housekeeping

  • Legal requirements in relation to food premises

  • Types of contamination and how they can be controlled


Course Delivery

This one day course is delivered by presentation, discussion and group activities.

Our aim is to ensure the day is active and engaging.



Multiple choice questions paper, which can be completed verbally if necessary, requiring 20 of 30 answers to be correct.
